Dear Dom,
Today is the last day of April in 2010. Another month without you and the pain in our hearts linger. It's mother's day next weekend and mummy will be so sad.
AS you know, your mum and I reached another low point today. We feel very unfortunate since you passed away. There seems to be no happiness and joy in store for us. All we really want is for you to be here with us. We miss all the things we used to do. We miss holding you, playing with you, and talking to you. We miss you coming home from the school bus and telling us how your day went.
Last night, mummy and I remembered another favorite movie of yours - The Cat in the Hat. Your favorite was towards the end when they were all going down some kind of slide - like the water park.
Mummy sent me a picture of you by our front step with mocha (kitty). You were so pleased to have mocha on your lap.

Dear Dom,
Yesterday was week 31 since you passed away. We miss you more than ever. We still remember the dreadful day when you passed away on Saturday.
Last Friday, I came down to our kitchen to get ready to take Dave to school. The fan in the living room was turned on high speed. I can only imagine that you had something to do with it. Remember how you liked fans?
We went to our house in the desert yesterday to clean up. Some people from Chicago used our house the week before. The house is a great memory of you - the pool, you learned how to ride your bike on our driveway, you go-kart around the pool area, and our trips to the Cheesecake Factory. We bought the house so you could enjoy the pool. It's very sad that you are no longer here to enjoy it.
I went running this morning. I didn't see kitties but a Golden Retriever (just like Rooney!) came rushing to me, barked at me and stopped. It seems that a lot of dogs have been coming over to me the past few months. I hope it's a sign that you're with me. I thnk dogs can sense your energy.

Dear Dom,
Today is the 7th month since you passed away. It has been a long time since we last saw you and it's painful to think that you are no longer with us. I can only hope that you are safe and happy in Heaven. It's hard not to remember the dreadful day when I walked to CHOC and you were being revived by your doctors. I wish I came earlier and had a chance to spend some time with you before you went.
Yesterday, we had a nice surprise from you. Mummy and I found some drawings on the backside of stickers. You had drawings of different types of fans. Remember when you used to like fans? I have pictures of you posed next to fans.
Last night, mummy and I were talking about you. You were an extension of mummy. You were so sweet and nice and you loved mummy so much. You talked using mummy's expressions as well. We miss your love and your presence. Our house is so empty without you.

Dear Dom,
30 weeks ago was the worst day of our family. It's the day you passed away. Mummy and I have been so devastated and we find it painful to wake up every morning.
We remembered how you were when we woke up every morning before you passed away. You may be listening to your Spanish songs. You would pull the chair close to the CD player so you can plug your headset. Or you may be watching Tom and Jerry or Top 10 Water Parks from the travel channel. You may even have paper scattered all over the table with your drawings. We also remembered how you love fruit by the foot and wrappers would be all over the place.
I went for a run this morning and did not see any kitties. I saw lots of birds close by in pairs or singles. I often wonder how you are in heaven. What you do? Who do you see? If you stay with Nana most of the time? Or have you met my Dad? Your lolo mangal or lola ofelia?
I wish you are safe and happy where you are. We can't wait to see you and be with you again.

Dear Dom,
Yesterday afternoon, I kept hearing the smoke alarm in our bedroom beeping. I asked Dave if heard the beep and he said he doesn't hear it. I also asked mummy if she heard the smoke alarm beeping all day long. But, I guess not. Makes me believe that it's a sign from you.
Today, I got you some cones from the pine trees around work. I'll take some to Good Shepherd tomorrow.
Mummy and I remembered how you used to say yes or no using hand gestures. You made things so cute and adorable.

I was missing you and went in your room today. Guess what I found? It's your Nissan GTR! I've been looking for your GTR since you passed away and today - there it was, right on top of your toy box. I hope that was a sign from you.
I know it's your favorite car and it is very fast. I put it in front of your pictures on the island in the kitchen.

Dear Dom,
We went to our vacation house in Desert Hot Springs today. Mummy and I had to clean the house. There were vacationers who stayed in our house this week. Some people are going to use our house again next week so we had to clean the house this weekend.
While I was working in the front yard, the dog next door came to me. I just realized that could be a sign that you're with us. I hope you came with us to DHS. Our house is all about you - specially the pool.
On the way home, mummy and I remembered how you whistled. You could whistle a great tune while doing stuff - like homework or playing.
Tonight, we were watching a show and a family was having fun in the pool. We remembered how you enjoyed your swim class at the City Gym. I remember you talking to your swim coach while he/she taught you how to swim.
Today has been 29 weeks since you passed away. We miss you so much and we always think about you.

Dear Dom,
It's our 1st Easter without you. I remember last year when you were doing Easter egg hunt. You had a bag in your hand and looking for the eggs I hid in the backyard. Easter is not the same anymore without you.
I took Dave snowboarding yesterday. We both wished you were with us. Dave misses you a lot. He talks about you when he can. Our family is not what it used to be when you were here. We hardly plan anything and we're usually sad and missing you.
It was busy at Good Shepherd today. I hope you liked the flowers mummy and I got you. Dave also came to visit.
